Killing Crabs

Rayco and Paula are two brothers of eight and fourteen who are looking forward to the arrival of an international superstar on the small island of Tenerife. The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, stops over on the island as part of his world tour, something that drives the two brothers crazy. However, their mother's pregnancy with a foreigner before the concert will put in danger the little brothers attending the concert of their lifes.

Paula Campos and Agustín Díaz star in 'Killing Crabs'. They lead a cast composed by Sigrid Ojel, Casper Gimbrère, Nino Hernández and other non-professional actors from the island of Tenerife.

'Killing Crabs' is directed by Omar A. Razzak, filmmaker that also writes de script of the movie. He was nominated to the Goya Awards in the category of Best Animated Short with his short 'La prima cosa'.

'Killing Crabs' a production by Tourmalet Films in co-production with IJswater Films (Netherlands), with funding from the ICAA, the Government of the Canary Islands, TEA Cabildo de Tenerife, MEDIA Europa Creativa and with the participation of Televisión Canaria. Filmax is in charge of the distribution of the film in theaters.

The film, that won the Silver Biznaga for Best Film and Best Leading Actress for Paula Campos at the Malaga Festival (in the ZONAZINE section), is an auteur film with autobiographical overtones.
