Just the Two of Us

Blanche Renard (Virginie Efira), a woman tired of her surroundings and routine, suddenly meets Greg Lamoureux (Melvil Poupaud), a man with whom she connects instantly after spending a night together. Both seem to be happy with each other, so they suddenly decide to get married and start a new life in the woods, away from the monotony near the sea that bored Blanche.

Despite the warnings from her twin sister Rose and her own mother about making such a quick decision, Blanche appears to be happy. However, Greg begins to reveal his true self as the days go by. He becomes a toxic, jealous, and manipulative person who will go to great lengths to possess Blanche: he follows her in the car, continuously calls her, and distrusts her words...

Despite this, fear holds the young woman back, as she feels unable to report the situation to the authorities. Therefore, she must turn to the trusted people around her, who already suspect what is happening, to find a solution together. 'Just for Me' is directed by French director Valérie Donzelli, who also co-writes the screenplay with Eric Reinhardt, the author of the original novel that the film adapts.
