Plot
A 45-year-old man lives in a small village in the mountains of Alsace completely isolated, without a car, work and no real prospect for the future, just surrounded by the resources that can give him the lush nature of the place. Man, despite the idyllic landscape, is in deep distress. The climate that is breathed in the rest of the country is no less bleak. France is still in shock after the terrorist attacks that occurred during the month of November 2015, with the state of emergency permanently activated. The man, alone and helpless, with a constant feeling of suffocation and helplessness after the rupture of the relationship that one day took him there, his only departure is the viewing of films of all times, from Eastwood to Bonello, from Carpenter to Von Sternberg. Lost and desperate, your best way to outsource the uneasiness, while running away from it, is to watch up to three, four or five movies every day. Thus, he will decide to edit fragments of all those engulfing films day after day to expose his crushed situation, creating a dramatic documentary. Cinema composed of fragments of others, cinema as salvation and condemnation. Cinema for all those who need to run out from the world and themselves. Cinema used as a way to escape.
