From the second to the third part
Certain scenes and ideas regarding the integration of dinosaurs into the world were ultimately removed from the 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' script to be saved for the third film.
A whole saga
The director Colin Trevorrow says the characters from the first films (played by Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum y Sam Neil) will be a part of the story in an organic way. He and the screenwriter Emily Carmichael think of this movie as 'Jurassic Park VI', making it only one big saga, instead of two.
