'Joika' tells the real story of the dancer Joy Womack, played by Talia Ryder. Joy is the first North American woman who graduates the prestigious Ballet Bolshoi Academy of Moscow, a school known for being very exigent and tough.

Moved by the passion of her first love and the magnetism of her tutor in Bolshoi school, Volkova (Diane Kruger), Joy will put her limits and dedication to the test. 'Joika' is the name that was given to Womack in Russia and it's the nickname that gives name to this movie about drama, ballet, passion, overcoming fears, frustration and romance.
