Plot
Documentary directed by Brian Oakes, a childhood friend of James Foley, who died exercising his work as a journalist in the battlefront between Libya and Syria, where he reported on the situation of civilians affected by war. The Thanksgiving Day 2012, Jim Foley was kidnapped in Syria and disappeared for two years. Slipping between herrings and misinformation, their families were threatened with prosecution by the US government if they paid a ransom.
Family, friends and fellow journalists of Foley put themselves in front of the camera to give witness to the story of the deceased. In August 2014, Foley was eventually killed by members of ISIS. A five-minute video posted on YouTube showed his beheading. In the first part you can see President Barack Obama authorized the attack on the Islamic state.
