Plot
The film directed by Jon M. Chu 'Jem and the Holograms' is based on the eponymous American fiction that triumphed in the mid-80's. The animated series emerged as promotional support for a line of Hasbro dolls, so when the sales of such toys began to fall, three years later, the show was canceled. The story, full of action, romance and rock and roll followed the adventures of Jerrica Benton (Aubrey Peeples) and her sisters, three teenagers who are forced to live with her aunt, after the unexpected death of his father. In his new home Jerrica will continue to indulge her passion, music, a hobby that she doesn't like to share. But, despite the reluctance of her sister, Kimber (Stefanie Scott) decides to record it and post a video that goes viral, reaching the attention of the country's most famous nightclub. Because of this hit the sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey that will take them to discover their own voice.
Aurora Perrineau, Hayley Kiyoko, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis complete the cast.
