Je suis le peuple

Egyptian revolution took place in 2011 mainly in Cairo, where a lot of people went to demonstrations against the government of the time. It was inspired by the Tunisian revolution that happened in December 2010, and its main causes were electoral fraud, corruption , unemployment and police brutality. This documentary focuses on the perspectives of the villagers of the South of the country who saw the events through their TVs but didn't experience huge changes on their lives. It is an unhopeful vision of what happened but it is utterly realistic.

The film is the first documentary of filmmaker Anna Roussillion and it won several awards at festivals such as the San Cristobal Mexican International Film Fest.
