It was announced that '22 Jump Street' (2014) writer Oren Uziel will be the one to write the film. However, Rodney Rothman has been the only writer confirmed.

This will be the first Jump Street film not sporting 'Jump Street' in the title in hopes to expand the cinematic universe.
