Plot
Remake of 'Jacob's Ladder', American psychological horror movie released in 1990 and directed by Adrian Lyne. Jacob is a Vietnam veteran whose experience in the war has left him with serious emotional and psychological consequences in the form of strange visions and hallucinations that constantly pursue him. Nightmares from which he cannot escape, he tries to live with them but they torment him all the time, making his life torture. As these hallucinations worsen, Jacob is desperately looking for a way to find the solution for them to stop, since he needs to be calm and not live a life with fear, tormented and worried. While embarking on a quest to do all kinds of things and tests to stop, the world around him becomes something scary with what he cannot live, further complicating his current situation, which is already more than serious.
This remake is directed by David M. Rosenthal with script by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorpe. The main performers are Michael Ealy, Jesse Williams and Joseph Sikora. The original film, at the time of release, the original film did not have a great success and made a bad box office, but over time it was considered a cult film because of its psychological and political burden about the American society.
