Irish Wish

'Irish Wish' is an American romantic comedy directed by Janeen Damian for the streaming platform Netflix. It is produced and starred by actress Lindsay Lohan in what is her second project for Netflix following the 2022 movie 'Falling for Christmas'.

In the movie, Lohan plays Maddie Kelly, a writer who is secretly in love with her editor, Paul Kennedy. However, he is interested in another woman, Emma, to whom he becomes engaged soon after. Thus, Maddie ends up traveling to Ireland to attend Paul and Emma's wedding, where she will be one of the bridesmaids.

On a trip before the wedding, Maddie comes across a wishing bench and asks a fairy to let her be the one marrying Paul. Sure enough, the next day Maddie wakes up as Paul's fiancée about to marry him. However, what was once her dream soon fills with doubts when she discovers that maybe Paul was not the man she was meant to be with from the beginning...

Filmed in Ireland, the cast of 'Irish Wish' is rounded out with Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, and Jane Seymour. It marks the first of a total of two movies signed with the streamer following the success of 'Falling for Christmas' and Lohan's most stable work in years. Critics have not given the film a good review, but they consider Lohan's performance pleasing and a first step towards her return to the forefront of cinema.
