Plot
This social comedy by Louis-Julien Petit is based on the novel by Claire Lajeunie that portrays the precarious reality of homeless women in France. On the big screen, Petit translates fiction into a comedy tone, for which it counts on a cast composed mostly of non-professional actresses. The story begins when, after a municipal decision, a social center for homeless women, 'L'Envol', is about to close. With only
three months to reintegrate the women they care for into society, the social workers do everything
they can: pulling contacts, saying half-truths, and even outright lies ... From now on,
anything goes! They deserve it.

Trivia
To the North
'Invisibles' was shot in the North region of France, which is caracteristic for the accent of their people. In words of the director this region is an "inexhaustible mine of extras".
Homeless
Half of the cast is formed by non professional actresses that were homeless in the past.
An improvised surprise
Louis-Julien Petit surprised his actresses by asking them to forget the script and to start to improvise their lines. Audrey Lamy, who had studied the script to perfection with a coach, felt disoriented in a lot of parts of the filming by this reason.
