Plot
'Inu-Oh' is the new work of Japanese director Masaaki Yuasa ('Ride Your Way', 'Mind Game', 'The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl'). Written by Akiko Nogiun, the film follows the life of Inu-Oh, a Sarugaku artist who had great success in Japan during the 14th century. Due to the age of his works, very little is known about them as there is little information. Now, more than 600 years later, Yuassa brings us this new tape to learn a little more about it. The story explores Inu-Oh's legendary friendship with Biwa, another famous and important artist of the time. The relationship between the two artists ended up becoming deeper, giving rise to an intense and enormous friendship.
The film is an animated drama with an approximate duration of 98 minutes.
Emphasizing the more technical aspects of the film, Yoshihide Otomo will be responsible for the soundtrack while Yoshihiro Sekiya will do the same with photography of 'Inu-Oh'.
It is a co-production between Japan and China, produced by Science SARU, Aniplex and Asmik Ace.
The film had its premiere in Spain during the last Sitges Festival, where it was nominated for the best animated film.
However, it will not be until 25 November 2022 when the animation finally reaches the cinemas of all Spain.
