Plot
'Industrial Soundtrack For The Urban Decay' is the first movie to explore the origins of the industrial music, leading a journey through the most avant-garde cities of the urban scene of Europe and America.
The industrial music emerged in the mid-70s, and it became a vibrant, provocative and artistic soundtrack to the picket lines, economic crisis and cultural oppression of the era. No matter if they were workers, students or unemployed people, the pioneers of the industrial music were educated, creative and politically aware artists that started with no musical background and ended changing the history of music.
This documentary tells the personal story of the founders of the industrial music Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Graeme Revell of SPK, Boyd Rice of NON and other fifteen influential people of the genre.
