Incredible But True

'Incredible But True' is the new and extravagant film by French director and screenwriter Quentin Dupieux. The director's ninth film is added to the list of titles that make up his filmography, including: 'Mandibles', 'Deerskin' or 'Wrong Cops'.

In a colder but equally absurd and hilarious way, Dupieux presents us the story of Duvel's marriage. Alain and Marie, husband and wife, decide to move into a cozy house, however, their 'dream life' is going to be perpetrated by a mysterious tunnel that hides under a hatch in their new basement. This duct has a very special power, to travel through time. The Duvels will face the criticism of the people, sceptical of course, with the paranormal story. Their credibility is not going to be the only thing that falters during the 73 minutes that the film lasts. The travel in time and the novelty that the tunnel brings will endanger the intact, until then, stability of the couple.

This eccentric film borders on the limits of experimental cinema, a genre in which the director hasn't stopped working. Alain Chabat and Léa Drucker are in charge of interpreting the peculiar couple, the rest of the cast is made up of: Benoît Magimel, Anaïs Demoustier, Stéphane Pezerat, Azuki Hagino, Marie-Christine Orry, Roxane Arnal, Léna Laprès, Nagisa Morimoto, Grégoire Bonnet ,, Mustapha Abourachid, Antonia Buresi, Matthieu Blanchard, Hiro Uchiyama, Vanessa Philippon and Mikaël Halimi.
