When Matthieu plays the piano in the middle of a busy Parisian train station, he catches the attention of Pierre Geithner, the director of famous music academy. But Matthieu ignores him because ever since the death of his old tutor, Mr. Jaques, he has neglected his privileged talent. Music is his secret escape of reality, until one day he is jailed for a petty theft and has no choice but to ask Pierre for help, who helps change his sentence into public service at the academy. Matt soon learns that pure talent is not enough to get him to the top in the academy, and that real hard work and strength is all that will see him through. After Pierre has risked so much for Matt, he does not want to disappoint.
