In this World

Michael Winterbottom is the director of 'In This World', a drama focused on a refugee camp in the north west frontier of Pakistan. Since 1979, the refugees, more than 53.000, live in awful conditions due to the endless attacks that they suffer. Enayat and his cousin Jamal are sent by their family to London so they can have a better life. They hire some coyotes to take them out of the country hidden in containers in trucks. However, they are separetd along the way. When Jamal arrives to the United Kingdom, he has to face another problem: his asylum application has been revoked, and he doesn't have his cousin to support him. 'In This World' won a BAFTA award in 2004 to the best foreign language film, after succeeding at the Berlin Film Festival in 2003, taking the Golden Bear.
