'In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon', originally titled 'In restless dreams: the music of Paul Simon', is a documentary written and directed by the 2007 Oscar winner for 'Taxi to the Dark Side', Alex Gibney, inspired by the life of one of the greatest composers and performers in the history of rock and roll.

The documentary features Paul Simon himself in the cast, to which are added unpublished statements from Art Garfunkel, Carrie Fisher, Edie Brickell and Wynton Marsalis throughout its 209-minute duration. The driver of the story is the complete process of the artist as he has carried out the production of his new album, titled 'Seven Psalms' .

In addition, the filming has exclusive content of some moments in Simon's career, which span from his time as part of the iconic duo Simon and Garfunkel to his last decades alone in which he composed his great Successful, the album 'Graceland', which earned him the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1986, achieved 15 million sales worldwide and was considered by Rolling Stone magazine to be the fifth best album of the 1980s.
