In Pursuit Of Silence

'In Pursuit of Silence' is an unusual film described by its team as a 'meditative' piece, that aims to explore the relation that humankind has with silence, and specially how much impact has noise right now in our modern lives. The film opens up with the peculiar 'song' by John Cage entitled '4 33', which is famous because it is a score on which the musician must keep quiet and do nothing, just silence. From this moment it will take us trough the streets of noisy Mumbai, to a very peaceful tea ceremony; amongst other places. The movie is done in absence of any cinematic luxury: without crane shots or drones. It opts instead for a much more human paced editing, that has in mind the nature of the film. It is directed by the well-known documentary filmmaker Patrick Shen, the man behind 'Hypaethral' or 'Flight from Death'.
