Plot
What happens in our first years of life? Is that where the seeds of happiness are sown that will mark us for the rest of our lives? These are some of the questions that the filmmaker Maru Solores asks herself in 'Aztarnak - Huellas', a documentary that explores the deep imprint that part of life that we cannot remember leaves on children. It is a journey to the forgotten place of memory to discover if both suffering and happiness are rooted in childhood experiences and may or may not evolve over time.
Solores travels from her position as mother to her own birth to try to better understand herself by combining a personal and subjective point of view of the human being, a dialogue with different protagonists of some families that the documentary accompanies in the experience of parenting. Also involved are various professionals who have dedicated their lives to helping with pregnancy, childbirth and early childhood. Scientists of international renown also participate in different disciplines such as medicine, psychology or neuroscience, who will act as detectives or archaeologists of the human being because there is no single answer, but there is an invitation to reflect on how to bring children into the world and to raise the adults of the future.
