Ichi the killer

Kakihara (Tadanobu Asano) is a sadomasochist yakuza who enjoys giving and receiving pain. When the head of his clan disappears, he will begin a crusade to find out the real reasons for the mysterious disappearance. Kakihara suspect the supposed death of his former boss is a setup perpetrated by himself to keep the juicy booty that belonged to the band. Thus, the sinister protagonist embarks on a relentless struggle against rival clan members, who considered participants in the dirty trick.

'Ichi the Killer' is the adaptation of the eponymous manga written by Hideo Yamamoto. Takashi Miike directs the movie. The film is notable for its brutal scenes of violence without concession. This is a thriller that combines features of both gore film genre as yakuza.
