It is directed by Kasi Lemmons and written by Anthony McCarten, the screenwriter behind films like 'The Theory of Everything', 'The Darkest Moment' and 'The Two Popes', as well as the musical biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. The film stars British actress Naomi Ackie, known for her roles in 'The End of the F***ing World' and 'Star Wars: Episode IX - Rise of Skywalker'.
