I Don´t Expect Anyone To Believe Me

'I Don´t Expect Anyone To Believe Me' is a Netflix movie directed by Fernando Frías de la Parra and based on the homonym novel by Juan Pablo Villalobos. The story starts with a young boy that looked like a swindler since he was a kid.

When the young boy grows up, gets a Mexican boy who travelled to Barcelona with his partner to study literature into trouble. The swindler promised a "high level business", but it ends up turning the Mexican student into the main character of a black novel, like the ones he would like to write.

The movie is written and directed by Frías and starred by Darío Yazbek Bernal, Anna Castillo, Juan Minujin, Natalia Solián, Alba Ribó, Clara Roques, Alexis Ayala, Juan Carlos Remolina, Berenice Mastretta, Aimar Vega and Natàlia Planell, among others. A young man who wants to be a writer travels to Barcelona, but instead of experimenting long classes with lots of blank pages to complete, he finds himself inside the criminal activity in the Spanish city.

The life that the protagonist had planned for his new student era in Spain gets off script and starts taking a more dangerous path. In this story, the boy will meet not-friendly gangsters, licensed, Chucky, a girl named Valentina, other girl named Laia, whose father is a corrupt politician... among other characteristic people.
