British filmmaker Ken Loach returns to his directorial role although despite the rumors regarding his retirement from full-length feature films after the release of his latest film 'Jimmy's Hall'. 'I, Daniel Blake' is a dramatic film starring British actor and comedian Dave Johns portraying the titular character, Daniel Blake, a 59 years old joiner from Northern England that has to ask for help to the State for welfare after falling ill. While struggling with his own daily life he will cross paths with Katie, a single mother and her two children Daisy and Dylan who also has a lot of decisions to make a better living for her family.

'I, Daniel Blake' was released on the 69º edition of Cannes Film Festival 2016 where it won the Palm d'Or.
