Plot

Ida (Angeliki Papoulia) is the captain of her five-man crew. During their trip on the boat where they live, they pass through Marseille, where the discreet and secret male world of the French Foreign Legion catches their attention and decide to follow them in their route through the Mediterranean Sea. One of the stops of the crossing is Corsica, which serves as a resting point before heading to the historic garrison of the legion in Algeria. It is here that borders and certainties will fade as seafaring life produces an empathetic feeling of mutual understanding between Ida and her ship's crew.

'Human Flower of Flesh' han a German origin in association with a french production and is directed by Helena Wittman. The cast includes Angeliki Papoulia ('Lobster'), Vladimir Vulevic ('Kako Sam Pobedio Lepak I Bronzu'), Denis Lavant ('Boy meets girl'), Ferhat Mouhali ('Ne nous racontez d'histoires!'), Mauro Soares ('La portuguesa'), Gustavo de Mattos Jahn, Stefos Danek ('Träum weiter, Julia!') and newcomer Ingo Martens. Produced by Frank Scheuffele, Karsten Krause, Julia Cöllen (Fünferfilm, Germany), co-produced by Christophe Bouffil, Fred Prémel and Julie Aguttes (Tita Productions, France), the film will be released in Spain on 31 March 2023.
