Gary Johnson is an undercover police officer who poses as a dangerous hitman, which has made him the most wanted man in all of New Orleans. One day, due to a call from a woman who is a victim of domestic violence, he will break the established rules to debate whether to become a real criminal.

'Hit Man. Accidental Assassin' is the new film by Richard Linklater, known for titles such as 'Boyhood' or the well-known trilogy 'Before', which includes 'Before Sunrise', 'Before Sunset', and 'Before Midnight'. The Texan filmmaker returns to comedy, a genre he has already explored in 'Dazed and Confused', 'School of Rock', 'Everybody Wants Some!!', and 'Where'd You Go, Bernadette'.

This time he does so alongside Glen Powell ('Top Gun: Maverick', 'Anyone But You'), who is also responsible for the script along with the director himself, and Adria Arjona, whom we have seen in television series such as 'Good Omens', 'Andor', and 'Irma Vep'. The cast also includes Austin Amelio ('The Walking Dead', 'Song to Song') and Anthony Michael Frederick ('Monster's Ball', 'Locked Up with the Devil').

The film arrives in Spain from Diamond Films after its world premiere at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, where it participated in the Official Section out of competition.
