Herself

Sandra (Clare Dunne) is a young mother who works to build a warm, happy and safe home where her two young daughters can grow up. Determined that their lives can be better, but without access to any kind of help from the institutions, she decides to build the project from scratch.

With little money and no savings, Sandra will resort to using all her naivety to turn this ambitious plan into reality at the same time that she must escape the control of her possessive ex-husband and get him away from her daughters and herself. In spite of everything, nothing can intimidate Sandra's decision, who will rely on a series of friends willing to help them. Thanks to the generosity and kindness of these people, and also to the love of her two daughters, Sandra will regain the feeling that she can really be herself again.

Directed by Phillida Lloyd, also responsible for 'The Iron Lady' or 'Mamma Mia!'. The script is signed by the leading actress herself with Malcolm Campbell. The cast is completed by Harriet Walter ('Star Wars: The Force Awakens', 'Killing Eve', 'Succession') and Conleth Hill ('Game of Thrones', 'Dublin Murders'), Ericka Roe and Cathy Belton. The film was shot on location in Dublin, Ireland, and post-production took place in London.
