Happy as Lazzaro

Lazaro, a young boy who lives isolated fron the world in La Inviolata, is a guy with a huge kindness and special charm. Although everyone in his small village are exploited by the marquess, they take advantage of Lazzaro's personality. One summer, the young boy will become friend of Trancredi, son of the marquess Alfonsina de Luna, who runs the small village. Thanks to his friendship they will make a strong and beautiful link that will open a brand new world for Lazzaro. Although his new experience may apparently seem like a time travel for him, the village boy will visit the modern world in order to explore the present, the big cities, technology and, above all, all the experiences he has missed for living in the small village his entire life.
