Guadalupe Reyes

'Guadalupe Reyes' is the name of a Mexican celebration that lasts from December 12 (day of the Virgin of Guadalupe) until January 6 (day of the Wise Man). These dates include a set of Christmas festivities that include a marathon of food and alcohol that, in many occasions, are very difficult to complete due to the overload of social events.

On this occasion, the story reunites Luis (Martín Altomaro) and Hugo (Juan Pablo Medina), two friends who have not seen each other for more than ten years but who, in their youth, promised that one day they would meet this challenge. Although everything changed when Luis began to have a family with wife and kids, but Hugo has not given up. When Hugo turns 40 he goes in search of his friend and proposes to finish what they once started.

Through this little adventure they will test their friendship and their respective livers, Luis and Hugo will finally meet again and their new lives will complement each other to help each other get safe and sound until the end.

The script is written by Marcos Bucay, Harald Rumpler, Erik Zuckermann and the film is directed by Salvador Espinosa.

In the cast there are also familiar faces of Mexican cinema such as Juan Carlos Colombo, Roberto Duarte or Tato Alexander.
