Good Newwz

'Good Newwz' is a Hindi-language comedy drama about two couples and one big mistake. Varun Batra (Akshay Kumar, 'Mission Mangal') works for a car showroom in Mumbai and has been married to Deepti (Kareena Kapoor Khan, 'The Gift from Nature') for seven years. The couple are eager to start a family, but are struggling to conceive. At the suggestion of Varun's sister Richa (Anjana Sukhani, 'Young Malang') and her husband (Faisal Rashid, 'The Breadfruit Tree'), the two decide to book an appointment at a fertility clinic with the well-established Dr. Joshi (Adil Hussain, 'Life of Pi') who suggests that the couple undergo IVF treatment, to which they agree despite Varun's uncertainty about whether he wants a child as much as his wife does. Also in the doctor's office that day are Honey (Diljit Dosanjh, 'Welcome to New York') and Monika Batra (Kiara Advani, 'Guilty'). With the two couples sharing the same last name, their documents are mixed up - as is Varun and Honey's sperm. Both Varun and Deepti and Honey and Monika must work out a way to handle this life-changing mistake to get the families they want so badly.

'Good Newwz' is directed by Raj Mehta ('Ironic Odyssey') and is written by Mehta alongside Jyoti Kapoor ('Left Right Left') and Rishabh Sharma ('Trideviyaan').
