Godmother

A poor and repressed housewife is mistaken for an assassin, and is hired by the government to carry out a series of assassinations. Scared at first, Matilde out right refuses, but after being threatened, she reluctantly carries out the first task. Upon seeing how well she is rewarded financially for her work, Matilde takes on the job full time.

The film is set in Argentina, and revolves around a political conflict. To complicate matters, a new detective in town arrives to investigate the assassinations, and wishes to romance Matilde at the same time!

?Madraza? is very much a comedic film that not only highlights the effect of female empowerment, but shows us Matilde?s moral decline, and financial gains.
