Gabi, Between Ages 8 and 13

Gabi is eight years old and just wants to be true to how she feels. Something that may seem easy, but it is not, because she considers that it is very different. During her eight years of life it has not been a problem for her to say the things that she thinks clearly, but this changes and the problems begin when Gabi and her family move to a town and she enters pre-adolescence. In the film we see how Gabi lives her growth for 5 years, from the age of 8 to the age of 13. Her experience will challenge the preconceived ideas that exist about gender, the norm and the right to be whoever she wants to be. "Everyone thinks I want to be a boy, but I don't. I can't, I just want to be Gabi".

Gabi is very happy and feels different from the rest of the girls. She says the things she thinks when he doesn't like something she sees and thinks that there should be no differences between boys and girls. Her name is Gabriella, but she would like her name to be Brad, Mike or Paulo. Paulo is his biological father, whom she thinks about a lot, but her mother doesn't want to talk about her.

In her new home, Gabi feels a lot of loneliness and she has a lot of trouble to make friends at school. To fix this she starts to say that she thinks like the rest of the people even this is no true.
