'Furiosa' is the new feature film in the 'Mad Max' universe. In this case, it serves as a prequel to 'Mad Max: Fury Road', the reboot of the eponymous film released in 2015. Like all the films in the saga since 'Mad Max: The Road Warrior' was released in 1979, it is directed by George Miller, who is also responsible for titles such as 'Babe: Pig in the City', 'The Witches of Eastwick', 'Happy Feet', 'The Oil of Life', and 'Three Thousand Years of Waiting'.
This time, the cast includes names like Anya Taylor-Joy ('The Queen's Gambit'), Chris Hemsworth ('The Avengers'), Tom Burke ('Only God Forgives'), and Angus Sampson ('Fargo').
'Furiosa: From the Mad Max Saga' premieres in the Official Section, out of competition, at the Cannes Film Festival 2024.
