Funan

Set in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) in 1975, tells the story of Chou, who has a quiet life with her family until the arrival of the Khmer Rouge revolution. When the population is sent by the regime to concentration camps, the 4-year-old son of Chou is kidnapped. Despite the tragedy, Chou does not lose hope and struggles to save his son and keep the family together in times of war. 'Funan' is an incalculably beautiful animated film based on the true story of the director's mother, Denis Do.

Winner of the best film award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2018 and Cinéfilos del Futuro Award at the fifteenth edition of the Seville International Film Festival.
