Four Kids and It

Based on the novel of the same name by Jacqueline Wilson, 'Four Kids and It' tells the story of David (Matthew Goode, 'The Imitation Game', 'A Discovery of Witches', 'Downton Abbey') and Alice (Paula Patton, 'Somewhere Between', 'Precious', 'The Perfect Match'), a couple who decide to go away with their children on a family holiday to the coastal county of Cornwall. On the beach there, they discover a magical (and admittedly ill-tempered) Psammead (Michael Caine, 'Alfie'), a supernatural creature with the ability to grant wishes. Meanwhile, an eccentric aristocrat named Tristan (Russell Brand, 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', 'Get Him to the Greek') is trying to snatch the creature out from under their noses for his own benefit.

'Four Kids and It' is directed by Andy De Emmony ('The Nest', 'The Last Kingdom', 'Quacks'). Simon Lewis ('The Anomaly, 'Tiger House', 'Jet Trash') and Mark Oswin ('Danger Mouse', 'So Awkward') write the screenplay. Joining the cast are Ashley Aufderheide ('Emergence', 'Preacher'), Billy Jenkins ('The Crown', 'Humans'), Paul Bazely ('Black Mirror', 'Damascene'), William Franklyn-Miller ('Arrow', 'Jack Irish'), Ely Sloan ('Drop Dead Weird', 'Detainment'), Teddie-Rose Malleson-Allen ('Swallows and Amazons'), and Ellie-Mae Siame ('Cindy').

'Four Kids and It', a Sky original film, is currently scheduled for an April 2020 release.
