Flag Day

A father is forced to live a double life as a forger, bank robber and swindler in order to support his daughter. This is what 'Flag Day', based on the book 'Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father's Counterfeit Life', is about, a film directed and starring Sean Penn. The cast includes actors Mitchell McCormick, Tom Anniko, Dylan Penn, Regina King, Addison Tymec, Katheryn Winnick, Cole Flynn, Beckam Crawford, Jadyn Rylee and others. With this film, which has already been released at the Cannes Film Festival, Dylan Penn, the director's daughter, makes her debut as a leading actress. Penn has already directed several projects such as 'The Indian Runner' (1991), 'The Crossing Guard' (1995) and 'The Pledge' (2001), the latter two starring by Jack Nicholson. In 2002, he also participated in one of the short films of '11'09"01 - September 11', which talk about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York. It is followed by 'Into the Wild' (2007), which was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Hal Holbrook) and Best Editing. His last film before releasing 'Flag Day' was 'I'll Say Your Name' (2016), in which the characters of Javier Bardem (Miguel) and Charlize Theron (Wren) have a passionate love story during a major rescue mission.
