Plot

Sean Connery, Richard Gere and Julia Ormond are the protagonists of the love triangle that develops between King Arthur, Lancelot and the future wife of the king, Lady Guinevere .

The action is unleashed when the first knight, Lancelot, comes to the rescue of Lady Guinevere who was being assaulted by Malagant riders, and fall in love with each other.

Lady Guinevere does not break its commitment to the king, so the love for Lancelot becomes forbbiden.

Meanwhile, the situation in the kingdom keeps getting worse by Malagant, a former knight of the Round Table.
