Final Cut

'Final Cut' is the new film by the director, actor and screenwriter, Michel Hazanavicius. This director made the big leap to cinema with the premiere of 'Mes Amis' in 1999, in which he starred alongside his brother. His leap to international cinema came in 2011 with the film 'The Artist', from 2011, a feature film in black and white and in silent format, which managed to win up to 5 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. He also won more than 200 international awards. After the premiere of 'The Artist' he recorded movies like 'The Infidels', 'Godard Mon Amour', 'The Lost Prince', etc. Now, Hazanavicius brings us his latest work 'Final Cut', a feature film that opened the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, and which is the remake of the Japanese film 'One Cut of the Dead'. 'Final Cut' presents us with the story of a group of friends who want to record a zombie movie in a gloomy abandoned building, the ideal place for a chase with the undead. The team made up of the actors and the different technicians do not seem very enthusiastic and eager to shoot the film, and only the director is willing to put all his forces into his very low-budget horror film project. However, the shooting will be a bit complicated when real zombies arrive at the building.
