Fever Dream

Co-production between Peru, Chile, Argentina, Spain and the United States, 'Fever Dream' is the fourth feature film directed by the Peruvian filmmaker Claudia Llosa, winner of the Golden Bear at Berlin International Film Festival for 'The Milk of Sorrow', which competed in the Official Selection at 69th San Sebastián International Film Festival, in addition to being one of the titles that was nominated to represent Peru in the category for best international film at 94th Academy Awards. Adaptation of the novel with the same title written by Argentine writer Samanta Schweblin, who she writes the screenplay for the film version together with Llosa.

Amanda (María Valverde) is a Spanish woman of Argentine races who, after living in various parts of the country due to the work of her husband Marco (Guillermo Pfening), decides to spend a few days off with her daughter Nina (Guillermina Sorribes Liotta) in a nice Argentine town away from the big cities.

There she meets Carola (Dolores Fonzi), a mysterious woman, whose son, David (Emilio Vodanovich), is not the same after a domestic accident. Always concerned for the well-being of her daughter, Amanda constantly calculates the so-called 'rescue distance', the one that is necessary to avoid misfortune. In the village, Amanda will see that there are things that escape her will.
