Feast Of Varanasi

A young English teacher with a troubled past comes to the ancient city of Varanasi to spend a few weeks with her aunt, who works in an old house of missionaries. There will follow the tracks of the recent suicide of his own mother and she left a letter with a pendant to bring back his sister. When the protagonist reaches India, she will soon know about a serial murderer who kidnapped and murdered native girls of the city and its surroundings, so the future of the teacher will be linked to the actions of the murderer. Later, the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) sends an experienced detective Delhi to be put at the head of the case and find the murderer before another victim is killed. Premiered at the London Asian Film Festival, Rajan Kumar Patel's striking and suspenseful directorial debut makes superb use of its amazing backdrop.
