Fátima o el Parque de la Fraternidad

The film, directed by renowned Cuban actor Jorge Perugorría, begins in Havana in 2013 and tells the story of Fátima, also known as Manuel Garcia or Manolito, a young man who is a transvestite and feels an absolute devotion for Our Lady of Fátima and Our Lady Of Charity. His obsession is something that define him. Based on the namesake short of Miguel Barnet, awarded with the Juan Rulfo Prize in 2006, the film focuses on this young man who assumes a female identity in adolescence and have to deal with the prejudices of a homophobic society. The film feature performances of Carlos Enrique Almirante, Thomas Cao and Mirtha Ibarra, among others.
