Sonny Hayes, nicknamed "the greatest who never lived," was the most promising young star of Formula 1 in the 1990s, but a serious accident during a Grand Prix virtually ended his career.

Thirty years after the accident, Hayes reunites with his former teammate Rubén Cervantes, who is currently the owner of a struggling Formula 1 team. Cervantes convinces Hayes to return to Formula 1 and thus not only save Cervantes' team's financial situation but also finally demonstrate his talent and the great champion that Hayes truly is.

His teammate will be Joshua Pearce, the team's rookie who wants to show everyone what he's capable of. As the season progresses, Hayes's past haunts him, and he must work together as a team with Pearce to achieve glory.

F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), stars Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia. The film was shot during real Grand Prix weekends and is produced by seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.
