Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile

'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile' is an Oscar-nominated drama based on the life of Tedy Bundy, an American serial killer known for raping and murdering several women in the 1970s. Bundy confessed to 30 homicides that he committed across seven states between 1974 and 1978, but the real number of victims remains unknown.

This chilling true story is told from the perspective of Ted's longterm girlfriend, single mother Elizabeth "Liz" Kloepfer (Lily Collins), who believes she has found the perfect man when she meets Theodore "Ted" Bundy (Zac Efron) at a college bar. As Liz and Ted raise her daughter, Molly, together, news reaches them of a series of brutal murders involving female victims sweeping the surrounding states. When Ted is arrested on suspicion of his involvement in the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch (Grace Victoria Cox), he hires a lawyer, John O'Connell (Jeffrey Donovan), to defend his case and get him back to Liz. As time passes and more evidence comes out against him, Liz is forced to come to terms with the idea that Ted is not the man she thought he was.

Based on the real history of a violent serial killer, 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile' is directed by Joe Berlinger, with the events adapted from Elizabeth Kloepfer's biography, 'The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy'.
