Plot

Abel is a Hungarian student preparing for his final high school exam in which he is tested on all subjects. As the history exam approaches, Abel gets distracted by the girl he likes, which causes him not to prepare well for his test. On the day of the exam, Abel arrives at school under the pressure of his conservative father, dressed in a suit and wearing a nationalist pin. Once in the room where he takes the test, the oral exam begins, and Abel freezes, prompting the teacher to invite him to review his notes for a moment, which Abel refuses. Additionally, the examiner asks the protagonist about the nationalist pin without any bad intentions.

When Abel gets home after taking the exam, he explains to his father that he is going to fail because the teacher does not agree with his ideology. Thus, his father goes to seek explanations from the teacher while spreading the rumor about what happened. Soon, the case spreads throughout Hungary, and a journalist becomes interested in learning about Abel and his teacher's story.

This film is directed by Gábor Reisz and features Gáspár Adonyi-Walsh as Abel Tram, István Znamenák as his father György, András Rusznák as Professor Jakab, and Rebeka Hatházi as journalist Erika.
