The documental 'The Danish Collector - Delacroix To Gauguin' by David Bickerstaff, with Asa Bassett's music, shows a series of impressionist paintings in high definition and with all the luxury of the details through Willhelm Hansen, an holland business man with an enormous art collection.
The story of a visionary man who has a very precious paintings collection which in another epoch had no value.
The rich holland couple formed by Willhelm and Henny Hansen collected a series of impressionist paintings which were exposited in the Royal Academy of Arts in London, 2020. We can find their collection at their summer house Ordrupagaard, outside Copenhagen .
This journey through some of the best French paintings of the nineteenth century are under the possession of the Hansen's and, with this documental we will get to them thank you to a specific look which knew the value they had when he decided to buy them.
Willhelm lived in Denmark during the nineteenth century and was one of the few collectors who were interested in impressionist art. In those times, painters who used that type of style were made fun of and no one gave them any kind of value.
At the Hansen's house we will take a complete tour through what London thought that deserved a whole exhibition.
