Inspired by real events, 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie' is the film adaptation of the successful homonymous musical released in February 2017. Jamie New is 16 years old and does not fit in the world in which he has lived; In fact, she wants to make a "real" career and dreams of becoming a drag queen. Despite having doubts about his future, Jamie knows one thing for sure: It will cause a sensation. Thanks to the support of his intelligent and affectionate mother and his wonderful friends, Jamie overcomes prejudices, defeats the stalkers and leaves the darkness directly to the center of all eyes.
'Everybody's Talking About Jamie' stars debutante Max Harwood, Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Palel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Inesan, Adeel Akhtar, Sam Bottomley, along with Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant. The director of the theatrical production, Jonathan Butterell, makes his film debut as a director, with script and lyrics by Tom MacRae, and music and songs by Dan Gillespie Sells, who also wrote the lyrics and songs, respectively, for the theatrical version. Arnon Milchan, Mark Herbert and Peter Carlton are the producers, with Yariv Milcha, Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Daniel Battsek, Ollie Madden, Peter Balm, Niall Shamma and Jes Wilking as executive producers.
