Ava

Jessica Chastain is Ava, an effective hit woman marked by a troubled past with drugs, a difficult relationship with her family and alcohol. The main character begins to have certain doubts about the legitimacy of the assignments that are sent to her and begins to question the reasons for assassinating her assigned targets, which causes her loyalty and her work to be questioned by some members of the organization that has contracted her. One of his bosses, played by Colin Farrell ('The Gentlemen','Lobster', 'In Bruges') then orders his murder, but his mentor, played by John Malkovich ('The game Ripley's', 'In the line of fire', 'In a place of the heart'), disagrees.

In addition to starring in this action thriller in which a murderer becomes the target, Jessica Chastain ('The Sloane case', 'Interstellar', 'The darkest night') acts as a producer. It is directed by Tate Taylor ('Ma', 'The Help') and the film also has two other luxury supporting roles: Geena Davis (from the series 'Madam President', the classic 'Thelma & Louise' or 'The Accidental Tourist') as Ava's mother and Common ('The Informer', 'The Hate You Give', 'Selma') playing her former boyfriend, now Ava's sister's partner; Jess Weixler, Ioan Gruffudd, Diana Silvers and Joan Chen.
