Summer 85

'Summer 85' is the nineteenth feature film directed and written by François Ozon, director of films such as 'Under the sand', '8 women', 'In the house' or 'By the Grace of God'. The film is set in the summer of 1984, on the Normandy coast. A 16-year-old teenager is spending a few days on holiday at a resort full of luxuries, typical of the middle classes who wanted a bourgeois lifestyle. In full youth, it is usual to have many adventures on the cruise, take advantage of water sports. But no, the teen boy makes a friendship pact with his best friend, an oath for life. But the boy, instead of enjoying puberty's own desires, constantly fantasizes about death. Because there is no experience more amazing than dying, since this is what everyone ends up reserving for. The holidays vacations has just begun and in this story, the young Alexis will begin to grow and begin on the inhospitable path to death.
