EO

The world is a mysterious place and difficult to understand, especially through the eyes of an animal. A gray donkey with melancholic eyes named EO meets good people and not so good people along his way, a journey where he will experience feelings as different as joy and sadness. The wheel of fortune turns, depending on the moment, it suffering into happiness and it good luck into disaster. Whatever happens, EO will never lose his innocence.

'EO' won the Jury Prize at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and was Poland's film representative for the Oscars. It also participates in the Official Section of Seminci 2022. This project offers a vision of modern Europe through the eyes of a donkey and works as an exciting and poetic fable against violence, animal abuse and the absolute absence of all humanity.

The film is directed and co-written by Jerzy Skolimowki, a veteran Polish filmmaker who won an award at the Cannes Film Festival for 'Moonlighting' and 'The Shout', and stars French actress Isabelle Huppert ('Elle', 'The Piano Teacher'), one of the most relevant and respected performers on the European film scene. Along with her, the main cast consists of Jacek Mura?ski, Lorenzo Zurzolo, Sandra Drzymalska, Mateusz Mura?ski, Mateusz Kosciukiewicz.
