Entre montañas

Unai is a teenager who lives locked down in a small village in the Pyrenees with his family due to the coronavirus. During the pandemic and lock down, Unai walks through the mountains near his home, meets the animals that live in the surroundings and appreciates the elements of nature in its purest state. For more than a year, Unai lives with passion the different seasons and the emotion of connecting with the nature that surrounds him and that, normally, he overlooks the most. This adventure makes Unai appreciate the world around him and connect in a way he had never done before. Foxes, deers, wild boars, marmots, blackbirds and sparrows will be his traveling companions. This feature film shows us a journey with two different objectives: the first, to see an adventure of personal growth for Unai; the second, to claim the need to protect our planet, starting with the most immediate and closest environment.

'Entre montañas' is the first feature film by Unai Canela (2004). This documentary film was shot during the first eighteen months of the pandemic in a place in the Pyrenees, where Canela was confined with his family. This time was the time when the young man had the opportunity to reconnect with the natural environment where he grew up.
